Softball player Sarah Steinbeck was selected First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference.
Steinbeck led the team with a .404 season batting average. She totaled 34 runs scored and 14 RBIs. She also led the team with 42 hits and six triples.
The freshman shortstop set a Santa Ana College record for her consecutive game hitting streak with at least one hit in 19 straight games.
Steinbeck’s .385 batting average ranks her 14th in the OEC.
She was also vital on defense with a .959 fielding percentage and 98 put outs.
For the month of March, Steinbeck received Honorable Mention for Athlete of the Month by the California Community College Sports Information Association. During the month, she stole 12 of 18 bases and had at least one hit in 14 games.
